New OLED gadget: Oppo Reno6 / Reno6 Pro / Reno6 Pro+
Oppo's Reno6 5G smartphone features a 6.43-inch 90Hz HDR 1080x2400 AMOLED display, a MediaTek MT6877 chipset, 8/12 GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB of storage, a triple camera setup and Dual SIM.

The Reno6 Pro 5G features a larger 6.55-inch 90Hz HDR10+ 1080x2400 AMOLED and updgraded specifications. The Pro+ 5G features an similar display to the Pro 5G but a bit brighter (1100 nits).
The Reno6 smartphone family will ship by the end of June 2021.
New OLED gadget: Huawei Watch 3 / Watch 3 Pro
Huawei's Watch 3 smartwatch features a 1.43-inch 466x466 1000-nits round AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, 16 of storage and Huawei's own Harmony OS. The watch offers LTE and GPS connectivity, and has heart rate, thermometer and SpO2 sensors.

The Watch 3 Pro is similar but is built from higher-end materials. Both devices are expected to ship by the end of June 2021.
OTI Lumionics' CEO updates on the company's technologies and plans
Canada-based OTI Lumionics developed innovative OLED materials and technologies. In August 2020 the company announced that it will start shipping its 2nd-gen ConducTorr Cathode Patterning Materials (CPM) by the end of 2020 to customers, which will use these to create OLED displays with under-the-display camera and face unlock technologies.

We had a short talk with the company's founder and CEO, Dr. Michael G. Helander, during which we discussed the company's technology, status and future plans.
New OLED gadget: Samsung Galaxy A22
Samsung's Galaxy A22 is a budget smartphone that features a 6.4" 720x1600 90Hz Super AMOLED display, an octa-core chipset, 4/6 GB of RAM, 64/128 GB of storage and a quad camera setup.

The A22 will ship by the end of June 2021. There's a 5G variant, but it uses an LCD display and not an OLED.
Samsung researchers demonstrate a 'commercializable' stretchable OLED display
Researchers from Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) developed a new stretchable OLED display, that features stable performance and high elongation possibility. Samsung says that this research is the first one to prove the commercialization potential of stretchable devices.

The new stretchable OLED was integrated with a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor in a single device. The PPG sensor is used to measure the user’s heart rate in real-time - which can be displayed on the OLED display.
UBI Research: medium to large OLED panel sales increased 156% in Q1 2021
UBI Research says that the market for medium to large OLED displays (10-inch and up, used in IT and TV applications) has risen 156% in Q1 2021 compared the Q1 2020. Total sales reached $1.45 billion in the quarter.

Most of the growth comes from TV and laptop displays. LG Display produced 1.6 million OLED TV panels in the quarter, while sales for laptops reached 1.1 million panels. TV panels accounted for the majority of sales (as average panel price is much higher) - 81.6% of the market.
New OLED gadget: Meizu Watch
The Meizu Watch is a smartwatch with a 1.78-inch 368x448 (326 PPI) AMOLED display, snapdragon wear 4100, wear OS, LTE eSIM, 1GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor and a battery that lasts for 36 hours.

The Meizu Watch is now shipping in China for 1,500 CNY (around $235).
