OLED Pixel Correction
Calculate Deviations in OLED Pixel Luminance and Color to Correct Display Uniformity

Because each OLED pixel emits its own light, brightness and color vary from pixel to pixel, resulting in visible non-uniformity. Manufacturers of OLED devices are challenged to meet the market's high expectations for quality at a pace that matches demand. In this webinar "OLED Pixel Measurement and Correction" you'll learn about new pixel-level measurement methods that enable in-line detection and correction of pixel variations in OLED and other emissive displays.

Spaced-Pixel Measurement
Radiant's patented method (US Patent 9135851) measures all pixels in a display, regardless of display size or resolution.

1 Divide the display into pixel groups using m*n matrix. OLED Dot Pattern
2 Light up the first pixel within each pixel group and capture a measurement. OLED Correction Matrix Pattern 1
3 Continue to illuminate successive pixels and capture a measurement for each illumination pattern until all pixels have been measured. OLED Correction Matrix Pattern 2
4 Measure the luminance and chromaticity of each pixel and compare with the target value to calculate the correction factor to be applied. Compare Pixel Sets to Target Value
5 Use a color matrix to compensate for RGB signal differences. Applied Pixel Corrections

What is Demura? Demura (where "mura" is display non-uniformity) is the process of correcting pixel-level non-uniformity. Radiant imaging colorimeters with TrueTest™ Software calculate luminance and chromaticity discrepancies of each OLED pixel to produce displays with a uniform appearance your customers expect.
