The idea is to connect adjacent pixels with flexible hinges, so that when the display is stretched, the hinges make sure the pixels retain a fixed distance between them. The company says that this design can remain uniform for up to 40% expansion.
New OLED gadget: Philips Evnia monitors
Philips' Evnia gaming monitor series include several monitors, out of which two use OLED panels. First up is the 42M2C5500W that is based on a 42-inch 138Hz 4K WOLED panel.

The second monitor is the 34M2C8600, which is based on a 34" curved 175Hz 3440x1440 QD-OLED panel (produced by SDC).
The rest of the monitors are based on LCD displays, including the 34" 34M2C7600MV which uses a mini-LED display.
Researchers develop new highly-efficient cyanopyrazine-enhanced fluorophores OLED emitters
Researchers from Russia's Ural Federal University developed a new OLED emitters based on cyanopyrazine-enhanced fluorophores. The presence of cyanogroup substance in the composition of fluorophores significantly increases the efficiency of the OLED emitters.

The researchers say that they have modified the pyrazine-based push-pull system with cyanogroup and studied how this affected the photophysical properties of the fluorophores and the performance of OLED devices based on these materials.
OLED Microdisplays in China - industry snapshot October 2022
The OLED Microdisplay industry is enjoying increased interest in the last few years, as the world's leading device makers (led by Apple, Facebook, Sony, Google, Samsung and others) are all developing next-generation VR and AR devices that are based on high-end microdisplays. OLED is regarded as the most fitting technology to power these next-generation devices.

Up until a few years ago, there was only a handful of companies that developed and produced microdisplays - led by eMagin, Sony, OLiGHTEK and MicroOLED, and the combined production volume was very limited, as applications were mostly in the defense, medical and high-end cameras sectors. But the increased demand spawned many more companies, some of which have already started to sell displays in the market, which expanded the global supply dramatically.
Futaba expands its strategic relationship with RiTDisplay for the production of PMOLED displays
Japan-based PMOLED maker Futaba announced that it is entering a business partnership agreement with Taiwan-based PMOLED maker RiTDisplay for the production of OLED displays.

Futaba is already collaborating with RiTDisplay for parts of the PMOLED production process, but now it will expand this project and move the entire PMOLED production process to RiT Display. The two companies will also partner to share technical details and co-develop and sale automotive PMOLED displays.
LG Display to halt OLED TV produciton as demand for TV panels declines
According to reports from Korea, LG Display decided to halt OLED TV production at its 8.5-Gen fab in Paju, for about a month or maybe more, as demand for OLED TV panel has declined.

It seems as if LGD's inventories are increasing - in fact according to the report, LGD's inventory at the first half of the year increased 73.4% compared to the same period last year. OLED TV makers like LG Electronics and Sony are also seeing their own TV inventories up.
LG Display is considering building a new automotive OLED production line
According to reports in Korea, LG Display is thinking about building a new automotive OLED production line, at its now-closed LCD P4.5 production site in Gumi, Korea.

It is not clear what is LGD's current status with this project, as one reports suggests LGD has already started to order equipment, while another says the design of the new fab is not complete yet, and that LGD did not make a final decision.
