Pixelligent raises $45 million in a new funding round
US-based high-index material maker Pixelligent Technologies has raised $38 million in a non-dilutive growth capital backed by its intellectual property portfolio.

The capital was provided by a funding vehicle managed by MVolution Partners. Together with an equity investment from its its strategic and financial shareholders, Pixelligent raised $45 million.
Jilin OE Materials set to raise $38 million in a private placement
China's Jilin Optical and Electronic Materials announced that it is set to raise 240 million Yuan (around $33 million USD) in a private placement of shares.

In 2020, Jilin Optical and Electronic Materials became public company when it started trading on the Shanghai STAR Market (ticker 688378). At its IPO, Jilin raised around $166 million, and the IPO was 3,426 times oversubscribed.
New OLED gadget: Loewe Iconic 4K OLED TV
The Loewe Iconic OLED TV range is made from Syno-Stone, a locally-sourced recycled solid surface material. The TVs use 55" / 65" 4K WOLED panels and offer HLG, HDR10, Dolby Vision and an integrated 360 watt 3.1 sound system.

The Iconic TVs will ship by the end of November 2021, starting at around $4,500 for the 55" model.
UBI: the OLED for IT market is set to grow from 9.5 millin units in 2022 to 48.8 million units in 2027
UBI Research estimates hat shipments of OLED panels for IT applications (tablets, monitors and laptops) will reach 48.8 million units by 2027, growing from around 9.5 million units in 2022 (a CAGR of 39%).
In 2022-2024, the main application for OLED panels is in laptops, but this will change from 2025 and onwards as tablets will also become a dominant applications (as Apple will start adoping OLEDs in its high-end iPads).
Several OLED panels makers are expected to build OLED production lines tailored for IT applications, including Samsung (who already confirmed is is building a 8-Gen IT OLED production line), BOE, LG Display and also Visionox. Some of these companies already started to order equipment for 8.7-Gen deposition.
UDC reported excellent financial results for Q3 2022
Universal Display reported its financial results for Q3 2022, with revenues revenues reaching a record high of $161 million, and a net income of $53 million. The company reiterated its forecast for 2022, with revenues of approximately $600 million, plus or minus $10 million.

Looking ahead, UDC remains positive of the OLED industry, but the near-term OLED demand may fluctuate due to uncertainties in the macro economy. UDC sees 2024 as a "pivotal year" for the OLED industry, with several new 6-Gen and 8-Gen OLED fabs due in that year.
New OLED gadget: Huawei Pocket S
Huawei's 2nd-Gen clamshell HarmonyOS foldable phone uses a 6.9" 120Hz 1188x2790 foldable AMOLED display, a 1.04" 340x340 secondary AMOLED, a Snapdragon 778G chupset, 8 GB of RAM, 128/256/512 GB of storage, a NM memory slot and a dual camera setup.

The Pocket S will ship on November 11 starting at around $820.

LG Display demonstartes a 12" 100 PPI full-color stretchable microLED display
LG Display has demonstrated a 12" 100 PPI full-color stretchable MicroLED display. The display can stretch up to 20% (to create a 14" display).

The display is said to be "close to commercialization" - as it is highly flexible, durable, and reliable. LGD says that it is the world's first full-color high-resolution stretchable display that was ever produced. But we do know that companies have demonstrated stretchable OLED displays in the past, for example Samsung with its 13" stretchable display shown in 2021.
New OLED gadget: LG OLED CS
LG Electronics' OLED CS range of OLED TVs, was quietly released towards the end of 2022, as a more budget-friendly version of LG's OLEDC2 or OLEDB2 TVs. The CS range is offered at 55" and 65" 120Hz 4K (LG's regular OLED panels, not its latest evo OLED panels) and offers LG's a9 Gen-5 processor, Dolby Vision IQ and four HDMI 2.1 port.

The OLED CS TVs are currently available in the UK and Australia, starting at £999 for the 55" model.
