CINNO Research: BOE signed a deal with Apple to supply 50 million LTPS OLED panels for the iPhone 14
BOE has been aiming to supply OLED displays for Apple for a long time. In 2020 BOE did not pass Apple's OLED quality test for the iPhone 12 , but later it it did manage to enter Apple's supply chain, only for aftermarket (refurbished models) 6.06" LTPS AMOLED displays.

According to CINNO Research, BOE recently signed a contract with Apple to supply OLED panels for the iPhone 14, which will be launch in October 2022. This will be the first time BOE is supplying OLEDs to a new Apple device. CINNO says that the contact amounts to 50 million panels, about 25% of Apple's total OLED supply. These will be 6.1" LTPS AMOLED displays.
New OLED gadget: SmallHD OLED 27
SmallHD's OLED 27 is a professional reference monitor that uses a 27" 4K (3840 x 2160) 550-nits OLED display (likely produced by JOLED). It offers HDR ,10-bit processing, 110%DCI-P3 and 135% Rec. 709 color gamuts, Bolt 4k-compatiability and PageOS software tools.

The SmallHD OLED 27 will ship in June 2022, for $11,999.
New OLED gadget: Vivo X80 Pro
Vivo's X80 Pro is a high-end smartphone that features a 6.78-inch 120Hz 1500-nits 1440x3200 LTPO AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset (or MediaTek Dimensity 9000), 8/12 GB of RAM, 256/512 GB of storage and a quad camera setup.

The X80 Pro will ship by the end of April 2022, starting at around $850.
New OLED gadget: Huawei Mate Xs 2
The Huawei Mate Xs 2 is a foldable smartphone that offers an out-folding 7.8-inch 120Hz 2200x2480 AMOLED display. When folded, the external display area is 6.5-inch (1176x2480).

The Mate Xs 2 offers a Snapdragon 888 4G chipset, 8/12 GB of RAM, 256/512 GB of storage, an NM card slot and a triple camera setup.
The Mate X2 S will launch in early May 2022, starting at around $1,500.
Samsung Display reports $6.3 billion in revenue in Q1 2022
Samsung Electronics reported its financial results for Q1 2022. Revenues hit a new record of 77.78 trillion Won ($61.2 billion USD) and the operating profit was 14.12 trillion Won ($11 billion USD).

Samsung Display's revenues were 7.97 trillion Won ($6.3 billion USD) with an operating profit of 1.09 trillion Won ($900 million USD). Samsung says its mobile display earnings improved from 2021, led by strong demand for OLED smartphone displays and growing adoption of OLED displays in laptops and gaming devices.
New OLED gadget: Philips 27E1N8900
The 27E1N8900 is Philips' first OLED monitor, and it is based on a 27-inch 60Hz 4K (3840x2160) OLED display (likely produced by JOLED). The monitor offers a response time of 0.1ms G2G, 250 nits of brightness and a 150% sRGB color gamut coverage.

The 27E1N8900 uses a USB-C connection for power, and offers a DisplayPort and two HDMI 2.0 inputs.
Philips will launch the monitor in Asia and North America later this year, with a list price of 7,000 Yuan (around $1,100 USD) in China.
Apple asks Samsung to lower its OLED iPhone shipments by 15% in 2022, and Samsung is not pleased
An interesting report from Korea suggests that Apple's CEO met with Samsung Display's CEO recently, as Apple is looking to reduce its OLED iPhone orders from Samsung by around 15% in 2022.

Apple, like the rest of the technology industry, is facing supply constraints and has already said that it won't be able to meet the demand for its products in 2022. Apple's original plan was to produce 220 million iPhones in 2022, and it expected to order 160 million iPhone AMOLED panels from SDC. Apple's now expects to ship only 185 million iPhones.
New OLED gadget: Huawei Band 7
The Huawei Band 7 fitness band sports a 1.47" 194x368 touch AMOLED display, an optical heart sensor and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Band 7 costs $40 and will ship soon in China.

SNU Precision to launch a dPd OLED microdisplay deposition tool
According to SNU Precision's web site, the company is set to release a new tool that will enable the deposition of direct-emission OLED materials on silicon wafers for microdisplay panels.

SNU Precision says that the new tool will support both R&D settings and mass production, with support for 200 mm and 300 wafers. The tool will launch "soon" but SNU does not give more details.
New OLED gadget: OnePlus Nord N20 5G
The OnePlus Nord N20 is a budget Android smartphone that features a 6.43" 1080x2400 AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, a microSDXC card slot and a triple camera setup.

The OnePlus Node N20 is now shipping for around $280.
