Samsung Electronics and SDC have not yet finalized the QD-OLED supply agreement
According to a report from Korea, Samsung Electronics haven't yet finalized its agreement with Samsung Display regarding the supply of QD-OLED TV panels.
It seems that Samsung Electronics wants to get the QD-OLED TV panels at a price equal to what LGD is offering its WOLED TV panels, but SDC cannot accept this. If the two companies cannot agree on a price quickly, Samsung will have to delay the launch of its QD-OLED TVs (the current plan is to start shipping the TVs in mid-2022).

Samsung sees high demand for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ulta, halts pre-orders
Last week Samsung launched its flagship tablets for 2022, the S8 series, which include two versions with AMOLED displays. The Galaxy Tab S8+ sports a 12.4-inch 120Hz HDR10+ 1752x2800 Super AMOLED display. The high-end Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra offers a much larger 14.6" 1848x2960 120Hz HDR10+ Super AMOLED display. The series also includes the more basic Galaxy Tab S8 which features an LCD display (11" 1600x2560 120Hz).
Toray Research Center to explain its OLED device degradation analysis in an online seminar
Next week, Toray Research Center (TRC) will host an online webinar focused on OLED technologies. TRC, who supplies technical analysis and support for R&D and manufacturing, invites you to attend the online lectures at no cost, to learn more about OLED technologies and analysis of OLED devices.
One of the topics covered in these online webinars will be the degradation analysis of OLED devices. The researchers at TRC can use nine different techniques to analyze the OLED stack, looking for organic impurities, degradation products, outgas and luminescence properties of an OLED device. The researchers can also look at the sealing property of the encapsulation layer and analyze the OLED device's cathode.
